market player to big company with more than 200 employees and with sales
in 9 countries.
Business Description
Customer is a company that delivers goods by post. It has large client base.
Company provides end client care through such points of contact as mail,
phone calls and phone calls through Call Centres.
Customer needed to manage and automate delivering of its goods. Company
works with Call Centres that enables relationship with end clients. Also
company desired effortless information exchange with Call Centres, several
warehouses and post offices.
Business challenge was to create reliable software for mid-market business
to track and document its sales activities. This software has to be reliable,
customizable and simple-to-use, because no special skills and knowledge of
IT were supposed from personnel.
At the beginning of project customer had several problems with resource
planning. Often company couldn’t estimate sufficient amount of products in
warehouse for delivering to clients on demand. Replies to end clients’
demands, propositions and questions were long-drawn-out. Interaction with
post was too complex and not automated. Business challenge was to automate
activity between post and customer. All requirements of posts systems of
several countries have to be satisfied: document registration, design of
parcel labels etc. Also customer needed maintenance service to store all
corresponding information in a database.
Solution and key benefits
We developed and implemented business automation solution that satisfies
all customer needs. We provide system that has capability to expand and
update its functionality. Customer is sure that software is of high quality
and can expand its business in new countries. Post system requirements in
every country will be considered. Our solution provides effective planning
of human resources.It was implemented in several stages with the first
delivery in two weeks since project start.
We developed 3-tier data base solution which works in following way. End
client sends a mail or calls to company or to a Call Centre and orders a
product Then company sends ordered product by post. Post office returns
information either parcel is delivered or not. If end client asks for help
on some issues all requests are hold with minimal response time.
All this information is stored in SQL database and administration can access
it by using client program. As a result, only single installation is needed
at a central location or distance computer to support entire organization.
Administrator gets real-time access to the critical information he needs
via a personal computer. Implementation of software immediately increased
productivity and reduced administrative costs.
Results
Using our solution company spend more time selling and less time on administration.
Response time on clients request has been substantially minimized. This
empowered customer to increase its sales and expand market in several
countries (now in 9 countries).
