We have investigated current backup management systems and no one satisfied our needs. All of them lack functionality that we need.

So challenge was to develop backup manager that does all work concerned with backup in flexible, adjustable, intelligent and simple way.

We developed our own Backup Manager that complies with all our demands and substantially exceeds functionality of other similar tools.

Main features of Backup Manager developed by Fine Soft Studio are:

	It uses incremental backup mode. Stores latest copy of a file and keeps history of file modification. You can see or compare file history - when file have been updated, who has updated it and what have been changed
	It archives backup files. But Backup Manager refreshes only archives for files in which some changes were made
	It works effectively. Work load on file system, network, CPU is small. There are options to control work load
	No installation is required on client computers to be backuped
	Server side components can be set on one server or multiple servers for dynamic load balancing purposes Setup is very easy - just copy few files and link scheduled task
	You can set what to backup and on which computers
	"Files filter" - supports filter by masks, attributes, extensions. It is possible to set both - "Include" - include if match, and "Exclude" - exclude if match
	Backup Manager is integrated with SQL database. DB structure is simple, so you can integrate with it. It is easy using SQL console to: - configure notifications based on important files changes - automated file management - add info of what should be backed up, remove files or old versions
	Backup Archives have simple structure. It is easy to manually recover changes without use of special tools
	Backup Archives & DB structure are fault resistant. Tool has no key component which can cause full backup to crash, so if any backup file will fail only info stored in it will be lost and no other files will be affected
	efficient work with files of different sizes: - very small files with size less then 4 Kb - big files - 10 Mb and more - very big files - more then 2 Gb
	You can set to keep all archives or some dirs/files to use secure backups. So even if somebody will get direct access to backups - he will not be able to get any data from them
	Access to database records is under control by row level permissions – for example you can configure access for confidential or financial files
	Supported backup of backup (BoB) with possibility to store copy of Backup on another storage or remote network with efficient & secure changes synchronization
	Backup Manager has administrative & user tools (through remote GUI or configurable web-based interface), visual comparison of what was changed and when
	It tracks history of file copy/rename. For example - if file «a.txt» has been renamed to "b.txt" or when file "b.txt" is new copy of file "a.txt" Backup Manager detects this and properly tracks file history. File move into other directory or even to another computer will be also properly tracked
	You can restore selected files or directories on certain date from past
